Abyssinia means an Ethiopian Empire and Abyssinian means

Abyssinian is a newly opened restaurant which boasts about the Ethiopian culture. They take pride in presenting the way Ethiopian people have food and gather for community gatherings over food and coffee.

Lets get into the details of what that have for us.

Abyssinian is located next to the award winning restaurant Savya Rasa in Koregoan Park.To be more precise it is in the lane just next to Starbucks. As the name says the specialize in Ethiopian cuisine .They have done some very good background work to get us a very similar experience of the cultural celebration over meals in Ethiopia.

Food

Started with a sip of Tej

Tej is special because it is homemade rice wine. The taste is perfect and it flows smoothly through the throat.

some more cocktails

Next up were some delicious starters

samosa but with a different flavor
and more starters

Moving on to Main Course for the traditional Ethiopian way .Most traditional Ethiopian food is eaten with the hands; this is done by tearing off a piece of injera, using it to grab some food, and putting it directly in your mouth.Traditional meals are eaten from a communal plate.

the super amazing Injera
Non-Veg communal Plate

Veg Communal platter

Eating Injera with the sabzis was amazing and felt a varaition of tastes and flavors enriching my tastebuds.

To end the meal the Ethiopian way we were greeted with Coffee and dessert.

Overall I will say a place you should visit if you are bored of the fast food in the vicinity and want to try something healthy and authentic the Ethiopian way !

Suitable for all ages and assures you premium quality and excellent service .

My rating 4.5/5 for food
