Serving one of the tastiest vegetarian Thalis in Pune!
‘Maharaja bhog’ is a game-changer when it comes to authentic Rajasthani thali in Pune.
Located on sb road in the wonderful Pavillion mall ‘Maharaja bhog’ has 3 other outlets
One in Mumbai, the other two in USA and Dubai.
I visited the Pune outlet
As soon as I entered I was amazed by the charm and authentic vibes this place has.
They specialize in Rajasthani cuisine and serve only vegetarian food.
Also, they don’t have the same menu every day. You will receive different dishes for all those 30 days.
The Ambience is classy and perfect for a family outing .The music played is folk.
My experience when I visited was one to cherish!
As soon as we sit ,one person gets a idol to worship God before having food .A unique and holy way to start your meal.
Another person comes and get you the royal hand washing vessel and helps you clean your hands .
I felt so royal and excited for the meal ahead .
We call it starters they call it farsan .Was treated with Gold Coin,Ring Dhokla and Dal Pakwan Tadka.
The taste of each one was top notch and I was amazed by the quality of each starter .
The gold coin is my personal favorite .The ring Dhokla was so well cooked and garnished I felt like having more and more .The dal Pakwan tadka was more like a Chaat and tasted just right .
In vegetables we had Paneer veg Hariyali,
Parwal Masala,Dum Aloo and Bikaneri Methi papad.
The paneer was fresh and the gravy was perfect it was not extra spicy not extra sweet .The taste and flavor was perfect .My favorite from their menu was Dum Aloo and Bikaneri Methi Papad .
Dum Aloo was cooked very well with the flavors and taste being top notch .
Bikaneri Methi Papad is something I eat a lot at home .The taste of this one was superb and made me an immediate fan .
Along with these we had a few types of Dal/Kadhi. They included the
Rajasthani Dal ,Rajasthani Kadhi,Gujrati Dal
And Gujrati Kadhi. All the dals differed based on sweetness . If you love sweet then you can opt for the sweeter dal or go for the other one .Along with these for the breads we had Fulka roti topped with ample amount of ghee ,Cabbage corn paratha which was delicious and Bajri Rotla .
The meal ended with one of the Basundi’s I have had .It was Rose Basundi and along with that had Apple Halwa.
Maharaja Bhog promises you excellent high quality food with an assurance of amazing taste .The service is top notch .Experience Rajasthani hospitality in Pune with the extra added manwar !
It is one the best vegetarian thali places in Pune .Highly recommended for Family outings .
